The Thought For Food (TFF) Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of three new executive leaders:

  • Matthew Githero, Managing Director and CFO
  • Melissa Ong, CEO of SE Asia Region
  • Davide Mancini, Non-Executive Director

They will work with TFF’s Founder and CEO Christine Gould to support TFF’s Regional Coordinator Team and TFF Core Team to develop and drive forward the non-profit organization’s mission to empower the next generations to lead a sustainable food revolution through the development of cutting-edge, science and technology-based, food and agricultural innovations around the world.

Matt Glithero, Managing Director and CFO

Matt has over 20 years of experience in corporate finance and business leadership within multinational corporate environments, most recently at General Electric. He has a passion for continuous improvement and process excellence and gained extensive global operational finance expertise within the Pharmaceutical, Chemical and Power Generation industries, where his last role was VP Process Excellence Leader. Matt is CIMA qualified and a graduate of the GE Experienced Leadership Program. In his role as TFF’s Managing Director and CFO, Matt will provide financial oversight and business leadership to help drive a sustainable growth strategy, as well as ensure day-to-day operational excellence and successful global initiative delivery.

Melissa Ong, CEO of SE Asia Region

Melissa brings 25+ years of Asia-regional experience in International Trade, Brand Communications, Market Research, Organisational Development, Social Strategy, and Corporate and Internal Communications with leading multinationals and non-profit organizations. Melissa holds an MBA and is a strong and passionate champion of workplace gender equality and womens’ empowerment. In her role, Melissa will lead the expansion of TFF operations into Southeast Asia by opening a dedicated Regional Hub focused on building partnerships and collaborations, running local innovation challenges, and expanding the global network of TFF Ambassadors. Davide Mancini, Non-Executive Director

Davide’s leadership experience spans the fields of finance, strategy and transformation. He brings a deep passion for technology, innovation, and sustainability to the team. He has worked and lived in 10+ countries and spent 16 years between NBC Olympics and General Electric industrial businesses where his last role was VP of Finance. Davide is a graduate of the Experienced Finance Leadership Program and of HBS Executive Education. In his role on the TFF Board, Davide will ensure independent organisational governance, validate and support strategic plans, and help expand the network of collaborations and global sponsor partnerships.
